CU Direct Connect is proud to support local charities that help enrich the lives of children and support the credit union movement. Proceeds from the CU Direct Connect 2008 Charity Golf Tournament will help support:
OPEN FAIRWAYS OF COLORADO helps improve the lives of at-risk and underprivleged children through the game of golf and the life lessons it teaches. In 2007, Open Fairways touched the lives of nearly 2,000 children, bringing the eight year total to over 7,500 kids from homes for abused and abandoned youth, local shelters, public housing projects, schools and other facilities for at-risk and underprivileged kids. Open Fairways hopes to help another 2,000 children in 2008.
THE CREDIT UNION FOUNDATION OF COLORADO AND WYOMING serves the credit union movement by promoting financial literacy and serving the underserved in our community. The Foundation's programs include disaster relief, academic scholarships for members to pursue higher education, scholarships to support the professional development of credit union employees and volunteers, and grants to nonprofit organizations and credit unions that provide for a variety of innovative programs to ensure financial stability for all person.
STARLIGHT STARBRIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION OF COLORADO brings together experts from pediatric health care, technology and entertainment to create programs that educate, entertain and inspire seriously ill children. Whether it's finding friends online, learning more about a disease, or just spending time together as a family, Starlight Starbright's programs help children and families cope with the challenges they face daily.
